I have the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e Series printer. It will not register with my account. I have gone through every suggested fix on the website as well as what the virtual assistant said. I have done a factory reset, a cold reset, uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart, as well as restarted my computer and printer all multiple times. Each time I get the notification I am "unable to register the printer to my account" with Error Code:  UA_400_EB000U0410. I attempted to chat with HP support, was told I was being transferred and then have heard nothing back. I'm not sure what else I could attempt to do to get my printer to connect to my account.

Hi @Amc531,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already tried many of the common troubleshooting steps for registering your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e to your account, but you're still encountering the "UA_400_EB000U0410" error.

Here are a few additional steps you can try to resolve this issue:

1. Check Internet Connection

Ensure that both your printer and computer are connected to a stable internet connection. A weak or intermittent connection can cause issues with registering your printer.

2. Check HP Account Details

  • Make sure you're using the correct HP account credentials. Double-check that the email address and password are entered correctly.
  • If you haven't already, try logging out of your HP account on the HP Smart app and logging back in.

3. Update Firmware and HP Smart App

  • Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can check for firmware updates through the printer's control panel or HP Smart app.
  • HP Smart App: Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your computer. You can update it through the Microsoft Store or by reinstalling it from the HP website.

4. Disable VPN and Firewall Temporarily

  • If you are using a VPN or have a strict firewall setup, temporarily disable them to see if they are causing the issue. Sometimes, these can interfere with the registration process.

5. Clear Browser Cache

  • If you're trying to register the printer through a web browser, clear your browser cache and cookies, or try using a different browser.

6. Reset Network Settings

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings. This will clear all network settings, and you can then reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

7. Create a New HP Account

  • If possible, try creating a new HP account with a different email address and attempt to register the printer again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
