I was trying to configure my printer with a new ESSID.  Turning it on I dod not see the "HP Setup" network so I enabled the direct connect network.  Once connected I pointed my browser at the EWS portal to start the Wireless setup wizard but was unable to enter the correct password.  At this point I attempted to reset the wireless config (and from reading the EWS password) by holding down cancel and and wifi buttons until the indicator flashed.

After performing the reset I was able to connect to the HP Setup network and use the HP Smart app to continue configuration.  Along the way I got a dialog saying that a password has been configured for my printer.  Is this different from the EWS password and how do I reset/recover this?

Thanks,

Devan

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

The network configuration report should have this information: Press the Wireless button ( ) and the Information button ( ) at the same time.

Let me know if this helps.
