Officejet 4650 and 8720
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I scan a file it scans correctly and I can see the image in the preview however when I go to save the scan I get a message "File not found.  Check the file name and try again"  I have tried changing the file name and the same error message occurs.  It happens with both my OfficeJet printers.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled ALL HP programs but the message still occurs.  It was suggested this is a registry issue but the remove and reinstall didn't help.  Thanks for any help.Won't save issue.JPG

Hi,

Please click the notifications icon on your system tray and review the shown notifications for your operating system, I would guess there will be any notification about Windows Defender, blocking the HP Scan application.

If you see any such, follow the steps on screen to allow the HP Scan app.

As well try saving to another location such as a folder under the root folder of C drive and check for any difference.

Thanks.  I've tried all that already.  When I use a different computer I don't have the problem.
