I am not able to locate paper size setting on my printer screen - going into settings and no option for printer setup or selecting printer paper size - what am I missing?

Welcome to the HP Community --

 

If your printer control panel does not -- or cannot -- display the settings to view / modify the Printer Paper and Tray settings, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / adjust the Tray and Paper / Paper > Trays and other settings.

 

  • Load Paper
  • Adjust Tray and Paper for Printer
  • Configure Job Settings

 

Details / Examples

Load Paper / Load Media

 

Load paper according to the instructions in 

 User Guide - HP ENVY Inspire 7200e series - HP ENVY Inspire 7900e series

Starting on Page 13

Do not skip Step 7

Alert the Printer to the paper loaded in the intake tray - Tray and Paper

EWS > HP Document / How-to (InkJet Printers – Classic Format)

 Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section Open the EWS over a local network orientation

OR

 HP Laser Printers - Using the Printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

 

 

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

 

Reminder

If asked enter the printer’s PIN number –

The default PIN might be located on the back or inside the printer (ink access area).

 

EWS – Tray and Paper Management / Paper > Trays

 

1)  Classic EWS - InkJet Printers / Select other printers

 

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model and EWS version Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

2)  Alternate EWS format - Select newer InkJet printers and select LaserJet printers

Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure

If your job setup More Settings Source is set to a form of Automatic or Auto and that setting is not working,

Adjust the Source to select the Tray

 

Check that the Paper Size / Type are as expected.
