I can no longer use HP SMART,  which has been working on my Windows 10 (v1905) with my HP OfficeJet Pro 8720

for scanning.  HP Smart printing seems to still work. The printer is connected over WiFi and HP Smart recognizes it.   There are several different community answers to questions about HP Smart with various suggestions ranging from the obvious to a long 14 pager. I have tried most of them.   I have "Reset" HP Smart, removing data;   cleared cookies and data cache in my Chrome browser, and checked that the browser will accept cookies.  When I get to the "Sign in" procedure to enable the scanning functions the following appears:

No way around this.

This situation  should not be so sudden and so difficult to resolve.

The application I used previously was called HP Solution Center that no longer works because it required

the Adobe Flash player that is no longer supported.  I can still use HP Scan, but it is less useful than HP Smart was.

I really wish HP would give this morass some attention.

Hello I had the same problem today after downloading some Microsoft updates including for Edge which I use as my default browser. After various checks I reset the Edge Browser and was then able to sign in to my Instant Ink Account again. Alls well. I hope this helps you with Chrome.
