Unfortunately that hasn't worked. I followed each step but after restarting the laptop and running the full webpack. it stops looking for D3630x64.msi. I've searched my hard drive and although I've found a D3630x64.msi it's not a vaid file and I still can't install the printer.

That's Unfortunate. The link provided in the previous post is to download the HP Full featured driver for HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer series.
Check if Anti-virus program is blocking the file while installation. If so, disable the Anti-virus program until the driver is installed.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor.
Click here to download the tool. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file and click on 'Fix printing'.
Also, check for any pending windows update
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Re-try installing the drivers
If this does not help, try installing the Windows Built-in Print Driver
Let me know how this goes.

I've managed to get the printer to print. I've abandoned trying to install the new software as the D3630x64.msi error keeps coming up. Thank you for your help though. I'll use my HP LaserJet as my default printer from now on. Regards Brian Bowden
