HP Recommended

believe I need to update the firmware as explained below. There is one update listed on the HP support site. When I download and run the installer, my printer appears in the dialog box, but the selection box cannot be checked. The "status" column in the dialog box does not say "Ready." It says "Not applicable."

I believe I need the firmware update to fix a certificate problem that keeps the printer from connecting to the HP server. This is a fix identified in the update summary and is mentioned on these boards. Symptom: when I touch the ePrint icon on the printer console, it comes back with a message that it cannot connect to the server.

The printer is successfully attached to my Wifi network, and multiple computers can print to it.

The current firmware level is CKP1CN1829AR, patch version 16.

Web services is enabled, but not completely working in that when I click on the Print Info button, it churns but does not print.

Please advise.
