I uninstalled my HP 2540 series software. Now when my computer reboots, I get a message saying this file cannot be found: C:\Program Files\HP\HPDeskJet2540Series\bin\HPStatusBL.dll
Please don't tell me to download some software to remove it. That didn't work and just gave me something else to uninstall. Please tell me how to directly delete this reference to this file.

Printer has been uninstalled / removed – error message persists
- Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)
- Type (copy and paste) into the address bar and press Enter:
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
- Delete (drag to Trash) the monitor ink alerts shortcut to the old / removed printer
Example:
C:\Users\Dragon\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
