HP Assistant popped up a suggestion to install HP Universal Fax Driver 2.something.

I thought I had seen this before, but saw that the installed version was 1.0.0.19041.1266, so I started the install.

It said creating restore point (it didn't!!! ) and then said install successful.

Printer properties still shows 1.0......

Set default printer to the fax driver (WHY?)

Anyone else see this issue?

I noticed the default printer thing the other day when I was doing some testing for a client with the Universal Fax driver. Easy enough to change that. My does show the correct version, note lower left of box.
