Universal Print App Sucks!

I have been using an HP Smart Tank 7602 for several years and had no issues printing papers and envelopes without having to change any settings really. Unfortunately my printer fell off my bookcase shelf after I refilled the toner the other day and had to get a new one.

Got the new one setup and they offered the AI help for printing webpages without the overlapping pictures and ads . Occasionally I've been frustrated with this so thought it would be a great idea to try!  

Started trying to print a double sided landscape flyer out of Publisher like I often do. However, I noticed the settings were different on my printing pop-ups and then the HP Universal Print app SLOWLY woke up. I made sure all my settings were correct but the printer refused to cooperate. I tried printing another Publisher couple of pages and this time they were set for double sided portrait. The portrait aspect printed fine but the double sided aspect wouldn't work.

I got on chat with HP and (before AND after reinstalling the whole printer a few times), during our tests, I found out I was totally unable to print anything from Adobe PDF Pro. It says I did but nothing would come out of the printer. Each time I was frustrated in how slowly the Universal Print app took to open, and also because it had changed some of my settings on the front of my print pop-up, especially the checkbox for double sided printing. Finally out of frustration, I decided to just uninstall the Universal Print app and low and behold, all those issues immediately went away! Way too many bugs in this app slowing me down when I have other things to do in my life.
