Product: Officejet pro 8740

I have an OfficeJet pro 8740 that is no longer supported.  A couple of days after the end of support date, I cannot print.  The screen is either flashing or in a bunch of different error states.  Is there a way to still use the perfectly good (& not incredibly old) printer?  Or do I have an expensive boat anchor?
