Hi @Neeveey
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You can update the firmware of your HP Envy Pro 6430 All-in-One printer directly from the printer itself or using your smartphone. Here’s how you can do it:
Method 1: Update via Printer Control Panel
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Make sure your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Access Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, touch the Setup icon (usually a wrench or gear symbol).
- Check for Updates:
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Tools.
- Look for Update Firmware or Check for Updates and select it.
- Follow Prompts: If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it.
Method 2: Update via HP Smart App
- Download HP Smart: If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Connect the App to Your Printer:
- Open the HP Smart app and make sure your printer is added. If not, you can add it by selecting Add Printer.
- Check for Firmware Updates:
- Once your printer is added, tap on it to access the printer settings.
- Look for Printer Maintenance or a similar option.
- Select Update Firmware and follow the prompts to install any available updates.
Method 3: Use the HP Support Website (Mobile Browser)
If the above methods aren't possible, you can also check the HP Support website using your phone's browser:
- Go to the HP Support page.
- Enter your printer model (Envy Pro 6430) in the search bar.
- Navigate to the Software and Drivers section to see if there's a firmware update available.
- Follow any on-screen instructions provided for mobile devices.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
