Product: Photosmart C3100 All-in-One
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just had to update to Windows 7, but the CD for my printer only works for the old XP.  Can I get new installation CD, some sort of work-around, or must I buy a new printer, too!

Thanks so much!  Seems to be working fine.  What a relief, not having to buy a new printer, too!

Hi,

 

Please download the following package, save on your computer and run the downloaded file as administrator to install software and drivers on Windows 7 computer:

 

        http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL30154/mp-74950-2/AIO_CDA_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe

The message I get says it is not a valid Win32 application.

Does this mean my Windows is 32 bit and not 64 bit as I originally thought?

PART file is NOT a full file. You need full file, please wait to get full file.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP forum.

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

 

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/identify?q=+Photosmart+C3100+All-in-One&tool=s-002#Z...

 

Select your printer model, Win 7 Operating System and FULL feature software before downloading and installing. it

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Hello,

 

I'm having a very similar problem. I have Windows 7 64 bit os. I want to connect my deskjet 950c and my photosmart 7960. I cannot seem to find a 64 bit driver for either of these printers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Found directions to Microsoft Update Catalog (only available using IE) in a different board and found exactly what I needed.
