HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer

I have an update, not for a specific product, that will not install, and I do not know how to delete it. It keeps telling me to retry.

Hi @The1Monk,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check and Update Printer Firmware

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

Restart Printer and Computer

  • Turn off your printer, disconnect the power cable, wait for 10 seconds, reconnect the power cable, and turn on the printer.
  • Restart your computer to ensure no conflicts or pending processes are blocking the update.

Clear Printer Update Cache

Access Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Open a web browser and enter your printer’s IP address in the URL bar. You can find the IP address on your printer’s control panel under network settings.
  • Go to the Settings or Tools section within the Embedded Web Server interface.
  • Look for an option to clear or delete pending updates. This might be listed under 'Firmware Update' or similar settings.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Manual Update via USB

  • Again, visit the HP Support Page and download the latest firmware update for your OfficeJet Pro 9135e.

Use USB to Update:

  • Copy the firmware update to a USB drive.
  • Insert the USB drive into the printer (if it has a USB port for updates) and follow the printer’s menu options to install the update from the USB.

Check for Software Updates

  • Ensure your computer’s operating system and HP printer software are up to date.

Delete Update Files Manually

  • Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\ProgramData\HP\HP Update or C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download directories.
  • Find and delete any files or folders associated with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e update.

I hope this helps.
