I received a notification to update my printer drivers, I performed the update and now my printer does not work. When I run the diagnostic test, it does not find anything wrong.

Can anyone help?

I understand the situation—driver updates can sometimes cause the printer to stop functioning even though diagnostics show no issues. Let’s narrow this down step by step:

 

Confirm the Printer Model and OS
Could you share the exact printer model and the operating system version you’re using? Driver compatibility often depends on these details.

 

Check the HP App
Since the HP Smart app has been replaced by the HP App, open the HP App on your computer. Verify if the printer is listed and shows as connected. If it appears but doesn’t respond, that points to a driver mismatch.

 

Reinstall via HP App
If rollback isn’t available, remove the printer from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, then add it again through the HP App. This forces the system to fetch the correct driver.

 

Diagnose & Fix Tool
Run the Diagnose & Fix option inside the HP App. Even if the Windows troubleshooter shows no issues, HP’s tool can detect mismatches between the driver and firmware.
