Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I checked my current HP software and its a 32 bit, but if I upgrade my Apple system to Catalina, it only supports 64 bit programs. I'd like to update my HP now to avoid a problem. I checked my system and had HP check to see if my HP software needs updating, but it said it didn't; but clearly there must be a 64 bit available somewhere. How do I get it. Do I just download a new HP software on top of what I have now?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

HP OfficeJet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer is compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. This model printer is also AirPrint compatible. You may install this printer using an AirPrint driver or use the HP Smart app to Print and Scan.

Note: HP Easy Scan is not yet compatible with macOS 10.15 and we are actively working on it.
