I am upgrading my print server from wins2016 to wins2022. My concerns is whether existing print drivers can be supported on wins 2022. Where do I find the info and how to confirm that it is supported.

Hi @alanwongkm,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for reaching out, and it's great to hear you're planning for your print server upgrade.
We understand your concern regarding print driver compatibility when moving from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022. While HP does provide print drivers for a wide range of printers and operating systems, we currently do not offer direct support for server environments, including setup, configuration, or compatibility testing on Windows Server editions.
Since your environment involves Windows Server (2016 and 2022), we highly recommend you work with your in-house IT team or system administrator. They can:
- Test driver compatibility in a staging environment
- Review the printer fleet and identify which models may require updated drivers
- Contact Microsoft or your IT solution provider for further assistance with enterprise server deployments
You can still manually check if your HP printer has drivers available for Server 2022 by visiting:
🔗 Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support
- Enter your printer model
- Choose Windows Server 2022 as the OS (if listed)
- Review the available drivers and software
If Windows Server 2022 is not listed, it's likely the printer hasn't been tested or certified for that platform by HP.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
