Hello, a employee got a brand new LaserJet MFP M234dw. I work on a big company with many security policies, and I know this device requires an internet connection to activate and be able to be used. However, due to the security policies, it cannot have a direct internet connection, by Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
Is there a way this device can be used without connecting it to the internet? Basically is useless for us at the moment.

Is this a M234dw or M234dwe? The "e" model requires an constant internet connection but the M234dw does not, however this series does feature dynamic security which means you need to use HP or re-manufactured cartridges using an HP toner chip.
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.

On the product name displays this on the web configuration:
Correct, not "e" version.
But on the main page of the web interface I get this message:
So basically want to know if I can avoid that, as another time tried several hours to setup this with our proxy servers settings and the HP Smart App but it didn't work as the printer didn't detect the internet connection.
