Trying to download drivers for Deskjet 2130 (Windows 11) from HP I repeatedly get a warning that the file is infected.

How do I get round this problem. I still don't have the drivers

Hi Irwin,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have been through the  steps that you outline, but everytime I attempt to download the drivers from the self-service download page that I am directed to, I still receive the same virus warning (ftp.hp.com URL Blacklist)

Hello Irwin6, I am using the Smart App downloaded from the Microsoft Store, then using the app to access to HP driver downloads. On each occasion I am greeted with the malware warning.

Hi @Carreg,

If you are using the HP smart app to connect your printer and the devices from which you want to print.

You don't need any other drivers to work with your printer.

Are you facing any issues with your printer due to which you are trying to download drivers?

Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi, yes I am using the Smart App to setup the printer. The name of the printer appears in the Smart App, but printing is not successful. When I try the test print in Diagnose and Fix I the dialogue box an press print, but nothing happens.

Hi @Carreg,

I am sorry to hear that the above link did not help much.

Make a copy on the printer standalone and let me know if you have the same issue. (Place an original document on the scanner glass and make a copy to confirm hardware failure)

Kindly refer to the steps on this link and let me know if that fixes the issue.

Hello Irwin6,

Thank you for your continuing support.

I have run the various tests that you outlined.

The standalone printer test shows that the hardware is working - I was able to copy and print a document successfully.

The USB cable is also working - I was able to print with this printer from my old Windows 10 laptop.

I did run Diagnose and Fix and went into Advanced Settings where I received the message 'Can't open printer home or EWS page : this feature is not available.'

Hi @Carreg,

Kindly refer to the steps on this link to access the EWS page, provided the printer must be connected to the network and let me know if that fixes the issue.
