Hi @John9870

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Got it 👍 — you’re asking about the WPS PIN for your HP DeskJet 6100e series printer. That’s the 8-digit code you need when connecting the printer to Wi-Fi using the WPS PIN method.

Here’s how to get it:

How to Find the WPS PIN on HP 6100e

Power on your printer and make sure it’s on the home screen.

On the printer’s control panel:

Press the Wireless button or navigate to Setup → Network Setup → Wireless Settings.

Choose Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).

Select WPS PIN.

The printer will display an 8-digit PIN on the screen.

You must enter this PIN into your Wi-Fi router’s setup page (or your PC) within 90 seconds to complete the connection.

Note:

The WPS PIN is not printed on the label (like the serial number or Wi-Fi Direct password). It is always generated dynamically on-screen when you choose WPS PIN setup.

If your router doesn’t support WPS, you can connect using the HP Smart app instead.

Do you want me to walk you through connecting your 6100e to Wi-Fi using HP Smart (simpler than WPS), or do you specifically need the WPS PIN method for your setup?
