Hi @Frank1crayon,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your Windows 11 PC is unable to find your OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer on your Wi-Fi network, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Ensure Printer is Powered On: Make sure that your OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer is turned on and properly connected to the Wi-Fi network. Check the printer's display panel or LED indicators to confirm its status.
  • Verify Wi-Fi Connection: Confirm that your Wi-Fi network is operational and that other devices can connect to it without any issues.
  • Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart your printer, Windows 11 PC, and your Wi-Fi router.
  • Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Ensure that the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and that there are no obstacles blocking the signal.
  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network: On your OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings and reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network. Make sure to enter the correct network credentials (SSID and password) if prompted.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your Windows 11 PC. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website or use the built-in Windows Update feature to check for updates.
  • Check Firewall and Security Software: Sometimes, firewall or security software settings can interfere with network connectivity. Temporarily disable any firewall or security software on your PC and try reconnecting the printer.
  • Reset Printer Network Settings: If all else fails, you can try resetting the network settings on your OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer. Refer to the printer's user manual or support documentation for instructions on how to do this.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue of your Windows 11 PC not finding your OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer on your Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

After 2 days of exhaustive (and frustrating) trouble shooting using a litany of HP-supplied diagnostic software, I had an aha moment -- the firewall. That was it. I only wish I could have gotten to your response sooner. Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.
