I have been on the road, but for a few weeks now. W11 defaults to the fax version of the printer that I use.
The results are the same when printing email, Word document, PDF, etc. The system will halt for a few minutes, then select the fax driver.
I have the correct printer set as default, but this issue not only loses time it also complicates trying to get clean prints of difficult documents. I have updated the printer driver twice in two months from the HP web using HP Smart.
I am out of warranty, and W11 will not assist..

Thanks for the video. However, my ethernet cable connection is secure.
At some point after one of the W11 updates, the pc always selects the fax version of my printer. This is an HP 9025e.
Here are some photos that may clarify my issue:
