I upgraded my OS to Windows 11 on my computer. My printer is not on the list of computers that Windows 11 supports. When I reconnected my printer to my network, I received and ip address starting with 169.254.... (don't know if that is significant to this story, but included anyway). How do I get my printer to be recognized again? What can I do if my printer is not supported by Windows 11?

Welcome to the HP User Community.
Starting on Page 146
Read the section "Solve Network Problems"
For example, Reset the Network Defaults
Once the printer is no longer confused about the network, you can look at the printer software.

Printer Software
Oddly, as you might have already seen, the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software installation package does indicate that the printer software is compatible with Windows 11.
True? Is the printer software is compatible with Windows 11?
No idea.
Could be the document that lists the compatible printers is incomplete.
Could be the installation package is providing incorrect information.
?
I would guess the software is compatible - it is certainly worth a try after you have fixed the network issue(s).

Thank you so much for your help. I'm hoping I can get the network issues resolved. My computer is recognizing it, the network shows it's connected. I'm going to try uninstall and reinstall. Keeping my finger crossed. lol
