We have a piece of equipment that is running a much older OS. The HP DeskJet 6988 connected died and Officejet Pro 6230 ePrinter appears to be the equivalent replacement. After consulting with the equipment vendor, they said that anything would work as long as it has windows XP/7 embedded driver. I am not sure how to find this information and have not had any luck finding the HP chat or phone contact. I know HP is pretty great with plug and play, but I need to be sure before I order this unit. Thanks!

The good news: The OfficeJet Pro 6230 ePrinter does support both Windows 7 and XP (32bit).
