Waiting for printer to become available

HP Recommended
Hp 8600 pro printer all in one
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I try to print but it says waiting for printer to become available.

I have tried deleting printer reseting printer unplugging printer shutting down printer

Nothing works. It lets me scan to computer but not print from computer.

I noticed this with new 10.15.6 update to mac has anyone had this issue with new update?

@ESNAJUDI, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Have you tried using the Apple Image Capture? Did you make any changes to the printer or the computer recently?

Meanwhile, ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update software on Mac

Try scanning.

If the issue persists, we can try updating the HP Easy Scan App. Here us how you do it-

Uninstall the printer software and reinstall it. Refer to the document HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac)  for help. Once you have the latest software, try scanning.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
