Hi @ARIF729

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code ow_4xx_owsws00001 indicates a connection issue with your HP Smart Tank 585 printer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and set it up successfully:

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer and laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Restart your router to refresh the network connection.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off both your printer and laptop. Wait a few seconds, then turn them back on.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your laptop. You can check for updates in the app store (Windows Store or Mac App Store).

Reinstall the HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app and then reinstall it. This can resolve any potential issues with the app itself.

Use USB Connection:

  • If you continue to experience issues, try connecting the printer to your laptop using a USB cable. This can help bypass network-related problems during setup.

Check Firewall/Antivirus:

  • Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block printer connections. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.

Reset the Printer Network Settings:

  • On the printer, go to the settings menu and look for network settings. You can reset the network settings, then reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free tool that helps diagnose and fix printing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
