Hello. I’m wanting to print onto A5 glossy photo paper. I have loaded the paper into the tray but when in printer settings on the HP smart app (iOS) it is only giving me the option to print onto A4 plain paper. Please could you advise me how to change this please? I am using the HP smart app on iOS (I don’t have a PC)

I found one result for "HP 6010" and it is a sheet-feed scanner.

In general, some printers - certainly not all - will print on non-standard paper.
If your printer can do this, the data to support the option will be available.
First, check the Specifications for your printer (Category Product Information > Specifications).
Read the section on Paper Handling
Next,
Load the paper into the printer according to the instructions in the user manual (Category Manuals > User Guide)
Read the section on Loading Media / Loading Paper (wording varies)
Next,
Tell the printer about the paper in the printer.
Check / Adjust / Retain the Paper at the Printer Display Panel
Open Printer Tray,
If you have not yet done so, add desired paper type
Wait a couple of seconds…
Close Tray
IF applicable for your printer:
Look for a message on the Printer Control / Display Panel,
Click Modify (wording varies), set the paper size and type, Click OK
NOTE: If the size of the Paper Size is not in the Drop-down menu, Select Custom (likely the last selection in the list)
And / Or
Embedded Web Server (EWS)
If the printer is on the network,
If the EWS feature is supported on your printer,
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / configure your printer.
NOTE: Laser printer options in EWS are very different from those offered in InkJet Printers.
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management
If applicable, check the Advanced section (at the bottom of the Tray and Paper Management menu)
Click Apply to save changes
NOTE: If the size of the Paper Size is not in the Drop-down menu, Select Custom (likely the last selection in the list)
Example - Embedded Web Server (EWS) > Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management
EWS_9025_Preferences_Tray_and_Paper_Management_All
NOTE: EWS is also available in HP Smart
HP_Smart_Mobile_Main_Menu_4
Set the Preferences - Windows
NOTE: Ignore this section when not relevant
- Check / enable the printer as the “Default Printer”
Settings > Devices > Printers and scanners
UNCHECK (clear box) Let Windows manage my default printer
Select (Left-Click) your printer from the list of printers > Manage > Set as Default
- Select and adjust settings in each category for the Media (kind of paper), source (tray), and paper size.
Settings > Devices > Printers and scanners
Left-Click on (your) Printer > Manage > Printing Preferences
Next
Tab Printing Shortcuts > Click / Highlight your preferred shortcut > Click Apply > Click OK to exit
NOTE - Make changes to a Shortcut
- Select a shortcut and adjust the settings for paper, source (tray), other settings / Tabs
- Scan Menu for HP Scan >> If there is a More > section, check / adjust settings in the sub-sections > Click OK to save sub-menu changes
- If supported, save the edited shortcut or use “Save As” or “Create Custom Shortcut” to save as a new / different file name
- Click OK to save the setup

Next, try printing on your paper.
Were it me, I'd try a "plain paper" setup using paper you have cut to size before trying on "glossy" paper.
Why? There are two parts to this: The paper Size and the paper Type (Media).
You might like to test whether the printer prints on the paper size before throwing more expensive "glossy" paper into the mix.
Side Bar:
HP Smart Mobile is far less robust than its PC and Mac counterparts.
It is unfortunate that much of what you can do in either of those environments is just not available in the HP Smart Mobile App.
Does this mean anything to you? Probably not - if it won't work, I fully expect you to hate all of it. Before giving up - see if you can find a different App from the Apple Store that provides access to what your printer can do.
