I think the HP website should include whether their printers feed from the rear or the front in their tech spec sections online as well as in their sorting features.

I just talked to a team member using the Store Chat on the main website and asked for assistance in finding personal color printers with rear input trays as I was not able to find sorting options for this on my own. They ultimately weren't able to find any. I was able to find 2 printers based on the pictures only, which they later confirmed.

I personally believe that rear input tray printers will cause less jams when using thicker sheets such as sticker paper and cardstock. So I want to compare ONLY printers with this feature but they are hard to find as the Specs currently only say how many sheets it can hold in the tray but not if it is rear input or not.

If anyone else is interested, the two printers I did manage to find are:

  • HP Deskjet 2755e
  • HP Deskjet 4155e

You are correct regarding better feed of thicker media when using the rear feed. But both printers have a maximum recommended weight for plain paper of 32 lb so forget about printing on cardstock on both models.
