While scanning some devices on my network i stumbled accross some weird websites on my printer these include /Proxy, /Chat, when visiting these sites it prompts an HTTP Basic Authentication Popup where i need to enter an username + password
I gathered following screenshots:
1. Usual "Page not Found" for reference
Usual "Page not Found"
2. Weird Wifi-adaptor Listing
Weird Wifi adapter listing? Could consider this normal though
3. Login poput on /chatLogin Prompt on /Chat
4. Blank page instead of "Page not found" on /Proxy Blank page on /Proxy. Weird because it doesnt say "Not found"
These seem kinda fishy. What do you guys think? Is there someone using my printer as their secret meetup place?

@Julian89, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Weird directories on hostet WebGUI!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The “Page Not Found” and the XML output for WiFi adapters are pretty normal for many HP printers, especially when accessing internal configuration pages. However, the /Chat and /Proxy endpoints asking for login details are unusual for the ENVY 6030 series and aren’t part of any standard user-accessible features.
This could be leftover from a developer/debug mode or just unused internal features. But to be safe, I recommend the following:
Update your printer firmware via the HP Smart app or HP Support.
Factory reset the printer to clear any odd configs.
Limit access to the printer on your network (disable remote access or port forwarding, if enabled).
While it’s highly unlikely someone’s using your printer for a “secret meetup,” keeping the firmware up to date and your network secure is always a good call.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
