Simple issue I am sure for this community, I am trying to find which cab/e/connections i require to connect my 'new'  HP LaserJet P2035 printer to my router. Intending to use the printers male USB A port into the routers female RJ45 port. Simple but I'm making a meal of it and getting confused looking for the appropriate cable connections... I do possess a cable with a USB A female connector with a male USM A plug on if that helsp. Many thanks,

You cannot simply plug a USB printer into a network port, that does not work. You need a USB print server. The server plugs into your network and the printer plugs into the server.

You can check your router to see if it has a USB port on it and if it does, determine from manuals if it will support a printer.
