Hi @Andreena18
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One Printer to an outlet, you need to use the power cable that came with the printer.
For connecting the printer to the power outlet:
- Power Cable (AC Power Cord): This is a standard 3-prong power cable (with a rectangular plug for the printer and a regular 3-prong plug for the wall outlet). The cord should have been included with your printer when you first purchased it.
If you lost the original power cable or need a replacement, you can find compatible AC power cords at most electronics or office supply stores, or online. When buying a replacement, make sure it matches the voltage and plug type required for the printer, which is typically 100-240V input for HP printers.
For connecting the printer to a computer (if you want to print via USB):
USB Cable (Type A to Type B): The HP Photosmart C3180 also connects to a computer via USB if you're not using a wireless connection. You need a USB Type A to Type B cable, which is typically included with the printer.
USB Type A: This end of the cable connects to the computer or laptop.
USB Type B: This is the square-shaped end that connects to the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Most PhotoSmart printers use an external power supply. Most of these power supplies use a 2 prong power cord, NOT a 3 prong. Below is a picture of a replacement power supply. If you do not have both of these pieces you will need to purchase them
Check Ebay or Amazon as there are plenty of vendors selling these. The 2 prong power cord is pretty standard and can be found just about anywhere they sell computer or home electronics or Amazon.
