Hi @Naveah25, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
After answering the question "I primarily use HP products and services for personal use" during the installation process, a box appears with no instructions. This box is typically meant for gathering additional information or preferences related to your usage of HP products.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

That's not helpful. The issue is the box won't accept any answer, nor will it accept NO answer. This is preventing me from installing software I need NOW because I have students waiting on me. Very frustrating.

Hi @AylanX, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with an HP installation prompt that asks about personal use but isn't accepting any response, preventing you from proceeding. Here are a few steps to bypass this issue:
Try Different Responses
- If it's a Yes/No question, try selecting both options (if possible).
- If it asks for text input, try entering:
- "Personal"
- "N/A"
- "None"
- "Work"
Skip or Bypass the Screen
- Look for a "Skip" or "Next" button.
- If there's no option, try pressing Enter or clicking Next without entering anything.
Restart the Installer
- Close the installer and run it again as an administrator:
- Right-click the setup file → Select Run as administrator
- See if it lets you proceed this time.
Check for Alternative Installation Methods
- If this is HP software, try downloading a different version from HP's website.
- If it’s a driver or utility, you might be able to install it manually via Device Manager or HP Support Assistant.
Try Installing in Compatibility Mode
- Right-click the installer → Properties → Compatibility
- Select Windows 10 (or an older version if you're using Windows 11).
- Run the installer again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
