Hello.

I will buy HP multifunctional printer.

I see two models in the similar body:

  • HP LaserJet M140WE
  • HP LaserJet M141W

What is the difference?

The E  model is an HP + unit that offers an extra year of warranty but limits you to using only HP cartridges and requires a constant internet connection. It also may have a instant ink promotion attached to it. The E devices are usually cheaper to purchase and if you typically buy original cartridges then it is a good deal. If you intend to use 3rd party toner then buy the non-E version.

Thank you for explaining. So If I lose an internet connection, I can't print directly using wifi through HP smart application? I can't find any information about the HP+ program in Ukraine. Can you confirm that HP+ works in Ukraine? So I prefer to use combined cartridges, original or 3-rd party, due to their price.

Also, differences in cartridge type:

  • HP M141w uses 150A (W1500A)
  • HP M140we uses 142A (W1420A)
