can anyone tell me what power adapter my printer needs as I got this second hand years ago and have lost the power supply.

It is a very old printer

Please get the right part # for it from the following list

 

   https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=Q3019A

 

Then search on eBay. I don't think normal chops keep on their stocks
