My problem began when the printer alignment repeatedly failed. I tried to troubleshoot and ended creating more problems. I can print a test page from my PC but when I try to print a page from a website, the print page will not allow me to select print, only save.

i thought I lost the device on my computer so I reinstalled software and drivers.

I am using a wireless connection using officejet pro 8500 A909G series. I have a sony laptop

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you check that the printer is selected instead of e.g. "One Note" or "PDF", that will prompt it to "Save" instead of Print.  Example shown:

Select printer to print.jpgSelect printer to print2.jpg

Hope that helps!
