LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw

Hello. I am trying to add a printer to my account so that I can set up HP ePrint. When I click "Add a Printer" and enter my serial number (which I have triple-checked is entered correctly) I receive the message:

This product cannot be identified by serial number alone. Please provide a product number as well.

When I enter M182nw, or other variations like "HP Laserjet Pro MFP M182nw" I receive the message:

Please enter a valid product number.

Additionally, if I try to register the printer on register.hp.com, when I enter the serial number (which, again, I have taken a picture of and checked again and again that I am entering it correctly), I get the message "No result found."

Any advice?

Hi @HHendrix,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

The product number you are referring to is a model number i.e M182nw,

The product is not the same as the model number. The product number is alphanumeric. Eg: cn123a

You will find this info at the back or the sides of the printer.

Check and let me know
