Where are the drivers gone?

Hello dear community,

i have been downloading the driver for my officejet 4500G printer many times, but now the driver is not available on the download page anymore? I have been trying to find the driver for a few days now. Why were they removed? I need to use the scan function therefor the driver is needed. Thank in advance.

The drivers were removed recently for this and other similar vintage printers.

We do not know the reason.

I would guess that the drivers are no long compatible with supported versions of Windows.

Will the old drivers come back?

Also unknown, though I would guess not.

If you can retrieve the downloaded installation package from your backups, you could try using it.
