I cannot locate the eprint icon on the copier's screen

Hi,

The printer does not support HP ePrint to print via email.

 

you may enable HP Print Anywhere within the HP Smart app to print remotely through the HP Smart app, not via email:

You may find below support document, HP ePrint is not a supported feature for the printer:
