When I try to download a software update from HP, or when I try to do anything via my printer's EWS, I'm met with a message saying "a custom printer password has been set" and instructing me to contact the administrator. This is a home printer, I AM the administrator! Where do I find the password please?
NOTES
The password does not accept any of the following:
- The printer's serial number
- The code on the sticker next to the s/n on the back of the printer
- My wifi password
- My hub manager password
- My Microsoft windows password
There is no PIN number on the sticker on the back of the printer (this was mentioned in other solutions I found in the community).
I've also tried re-storing the network settings on the printer, but I still get the 'password' message
The printer works - I can copy, and I can scan from HP Smart app, I just can't do anything that required the password - like software updates.

Can you post a digital photo of the sticker on th4e back of the printer in your next reply to your thread?

Have you checked inside the cartridge door for another sticker?

Are you using Admin as the user name?

Yes, admin.
I ended up calling HP Support, who restored my printer to the original settings. It now asks for a pin (which I found, thanks to you guys) rather than a password.
Thanks for your help.
