This is an attempt to continue the discussion on this thread from 14 months back :
True, the driver to use (maybe the only one) for the HP Color Laser 150a under Linux (Debian, Sparkylinux) is this one:
"Samsung CLP 620 Foomatic / foo2qpdl (recommended)"
However, it seems to only print in monochrome. Any attempts to get it to print in color produces some blinking lights on the printer and a report under CUPS that the printing job is completed. No printing occurs. Monochrome is fine.
Under Windows, the printer prints in full color.
Thanks !

Hello @ggeorgan ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Have you tried this driver?
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you.
Of course I used the software package, provided by HP, that you pointed to. Unless one issues the command "./install-printer.sh", one cannot even see the printer in CUPS. But if one, then, selects the driver "HP Color Laser 15x Series (color)", then one gets "Filter failed" next to the job one has ordered printed. So, the only way out is to use the Samsung driver.
Thank you again.

HPLIP is not a good idea for former Samsung printers.
I actually tried HPLIP and found that the printer is entirely invisible to it.
Moreover, the HP Color Laser 150a is not even on the list of HPLIP supported printers.
