@Dpk220vlr, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're facing an issue where multiple sheets are feeding at once and causing paper jams during printing, even after changing the paper GSM. I’ll guide you through some steps to help resolve this.

Check Paper Type and Quality

  • Use HP-recommended paper (typically 70–90 GSM for standard printing).
  • Avoid using damaged, curled, or damp paper.
  • Fan the stack of paper before loading to prevent sheets from sticking together.

Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

Dust or residue on rollers can cause multiple sheets to feed. Here's how to clean them:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the input tray and locate the rollers.
  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the rollers.
  • Let them dry completely before plugging the printer back in.

Check Paper Tray Settings

  • Ensure the paper guides are snug against the paper stack without bending it.
  • Do not overload the tray. Try printing with 10–15 sheets only.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause feed issues. You can update it via:

Reset the Printer

Sometimes a simple reset helps:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
