Hello why can’t I add a second printer to my HP Smart App?
It is the exact same HP model.

@Lissie29x3, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

You can definitely add a second printer with the same HP model to your HP Smart App. Here are a few common issues that might be preventing you from doing so:

Firmware Update: Ensure both printers have the latest firmware updates installed. Outdated firmware might require updates for proper functioning and connectivity.

Network Connectivity: Make sure the second printer is properly connected to the same wireless network as your device running the HP Smart App. Each printer must be individually recognized by the network.

Wi-Fi Setup Mode: Restore the Wi-Fi setup mode on your second printer to allow the app to locate and add it. You can typically find this feature in the network settings on the printer’s control panel.

HP Smart Account: You may need to be logged into your HP account through the HP Smart App. Verify the account status and ensure your app permissions allow adding multiple devices.

Remove Printer from App: If a printer (even with the same model) was previously added and removed, ensure it is properly reset before attempting to add it again.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
