Why does my HP ENVY6065e printer change the left margin on its own?

Hi @Justification7,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

That sounds really frustrating—having a printer change margins unexpectedly can disrupt your workflow and waste time. Let’s figure this out together.

  • Does the margin change happen with all documents or specific ones (e.g., PDFs, Word files)?
  • Are you printing from a specific device or multiple devices, and does the issue persist across all?
  • Have you noticed if the issue occurs with specific paper sizes or settings, like double-sided printing?

Let's try these steps.

Check Document Margin Settings

  • Open the document you are printing and verify that the margins are correctly set.
  • Ensure the page size in the document matches the page size selected in the printer settings.

Update Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP ENVY 6065e.
  • Install them and restart your computer to ensure the update takes effect.

Reset Printer Defaults

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
  • This will reset any custom settings that may be causing the issue.

Align and Calibrate the Printer

  • Access the printer menu and select Printer Maintenance > Align Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.

Test Printing with Different Software

  • Try printing from a different application or device to determine if the issue is software-related.
  • If the problem persists, it may be related to the printer firmware.

If the issue continues, updating the printer firmware via the HP Smart app could help.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
