Why is my HP Laser Jet MFP M29w printer always offline? I'm trying to install and find the latest drivers for my printer, but your website has been no help. All I want to do is install the latest drivers. I'm very disappointed with the lack of help your website provides and your products.

Hi @Uncle_Eddie78,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your frustration with this issue, and I’m here to help you get your HP LaserJet MFP M29w back online and ensure the latest drivers are installed. Here's how we can address the issue step by step:
1. Check Printer Connection
- Wireless Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to the same WiFi network as your computer.
- On the printer control panel, press the WiFi button to check the connection status. If it’s blinking, reconnect it to your network using the HP Smart app or the WPS method (via your router).
- USB Connection: If you're using a USB cable, make sure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer.
2. Set the Printer as Default
- On your Windows 11 computer:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Find your printer, click on it, and select Manage.
- Click Set as Default.
3. Download and Install the Latest Drivers
- Visit the official HP support page for the LaserJet MFP M29w: HP LaserJet MFP M29w Drivers.
- Enter your printer model and operating system (Windows 11) if prompted.
- Download the full software solution or the latest driver package.
4. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP website.
- This tool can diagnose connection issues, reset the printer, and resolve many offline problems.
5. Restart the Print Spooler
- Press Win + R and type services.msc, then press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click it, and choose Restart.
- Restart your computer after completing this step.
6. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Go to the HP support site and check for the latest firmware updates for your printer model.
7. Advanced Troubleshooting
If the issue persists:
- Assign a Static IP: Access your router settings and assign a static IP address to the printer.
- Reinstall the Printer: Remove the printer from Printers & Scanners, restart your computer, and reinstall it using the latest driver.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
