Hi @Tabador,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2710 is printing pages unexpectedly without any print command. Let’s go through some steps to troubleshoot this behavior.

Check for Pending Print Jobs

Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers → Your Printer → See what’s printing.

Sometimes stuck print jobs can print unexpectedly after a delay.

Clear all pending jobs and restart the printer.

Check Printer Apps & Scanning Tasks

If you use HP Smart App or HP software, automatic scan or print tasks can trigger prints.

Open the app and check for any scheduled printing or scan-to-print settings.

Verify Connected Devices

Ensure no other devices on the network (like laptops or phones) are sending print jobs.

Disconnect the printer from Wi-Fi temporarily and see if it still prints.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can sometimes cause ghost prints.

Use HP Smart App → Printer Settings → Update Firmware to make sure it’s up to date.

Check for Malware (Rare but Possible)

On connected PCs, run a full antivirus scan.

Some malware can send print commands to networked printers.

Perform a Hard Reset of Printer

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds.

Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.

Plug it back in and power on.

Enable Printer Security

If using Wi-Fi, set a strong Wi-Fi password.

Disable WPS auto-connect to prevent unknown devices from accessing the printer.

I hope this helps.
