Hi @Jo28a,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you need to reconnect your HP Envy 6400 printer to WiFi but don't have the WiFi password, you will need to retrieve the WiFi password from your router. Here are the general steps to find the WiFi password on a Windows computer.

Check the Router Label:

  • Look for a label on your WiFi router. The default WiFi network name (SSID) and password (often labeled as WPA key or WEP key) are usually printed on a sticker on the router.

Check Router Settings:

  • Open a web browser on a device connected to the WiFi network.
  • Enter the router's IP address in the address bar. Common addresses include 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Check your router's manual or look for the correct IP address.
  • Log in to the router's settings page using the administrator credentials. Again, you may find this information on the router label.
  • Navigate to the wireless or security settings section to find the WiFi password.

Contact Your Internet Service Provider (ISP):

  • If you can't find the password using the above methods, contact your Internet Service Provider. They may be able to provide you with the WiFi password.

Once you have the WiFi password, you can use it to reconnect your HP Envy 6400 printer to the WiFi network. Here are the general steps:

Printer Display:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to the "Wireless" or "Network" settings.
  • Select "Wireless Setup Wizard" or a similar option.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the WiFi password.

HP Smart App (Optional):

  • You can also use the HP Smart app on a mobile device to set up the printer. The app may guide you through the process of reconnecting the printer to WiFi.

Remember that these are general instructions, and the exact steps may vary based on your printer model. Refer to your printer's user manual for specific instructions tailored to the HP Envy 6400 series.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
