So frustrated wasting hours and days in this and about to return it bc this is total crap. Can’t find the stupid WiFi password for the printer 🖨 a printer!!! Never had to have a password before. Worse product ever! The pin on the back of the machine it says it’s incorrect. Right now I have a brand new totally useless printer. HP needs to get rid of the passwords bc a printer set up shouldn’t be this hard. Definitely not user friendly.

@Doggymomma, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I believe you are trying to connect the printer to your wireless network. In this case, you have to use the password of your wireless router. Let us try these steps:

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the Mac

Use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on your router to connect the printer to your wireless network.

  1. Place the printer near the Wi-Fi router.

  2. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer.

  3. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button  for at least 5 seconds or until the light starts blinking.

  4. Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button  on the router until the connection process begins.

  5. Wait for the light on the printer to stop blinking.

  • Make sure the printer and the Mac are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button  and the Information button  at the same time.

Both a Network Configuration Page and a Wireless Network Test Report print.

  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

Use AirPrint driver to print from the Mac as shown in this document - Printing with Apple AirPrint (Mac)HP printer setup (Apple AirPrint for iPhone, iPad)

For info on how to set up the printer for the first time, refer to this document.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
