Wifi set up issues

This is the worst set up I have ever had to deal with. I downloaded the smart app on my android device. Tried to do set up. It cannot find my printer. I then hit search for printer and my phone finds it, but doesn't find it as a a printer, it finds it as a wifi network itself. I have no way to set this up. I am not sure what else I am supposed to do as there is no phone number for this company for help and the chat does not work at all. Im not sure if anyone else has had this issue but I cannot seem to get help with this from this company.

To better assist you - 

 

  • What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
  •  I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?
  • Is the printer connected to a home or public network?
