Using a Mac with OS 13.2, I'm unable to get the HP 8720 to print. The message is "selected printer is detected but not installed completely on your Mac. Please install the printer driver to print from this computer." But, when I then try to reinstall the software, it says it's already installed. I've been working on this for 2 hours and nothing is solved.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are unable to install the printer driver, I am glad to assist you.

If you are using the HP Smart app:

Follow these steps please delete the HP Smart app and reinstall it to fix the issue:

Delete it from /Users/Username/Library/Application Support/HP Smart. 

Then delete HP Smart from the Applications folder and reinstall from the Mac App Store.
