My work lap top will not connect to software downloaded. I think its because they have sent Win 8 software.Lap top is win 10, printer is HP 8610. Will the 8610 run off 8710 software, as this my only option to order? Thanks

Answer:

Likely the 8710 software will not work - different printer.

The software will likely "install" - just not to the point where it connects to the "not an 8710" printer.

The printer software for  HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer series  is not a "Windows 8" only package.

The Full Driver software for the 8610, last released in 2019, is rated through Windows 10.

If you cannot download the installation package it is not the package that is the issue.  Your employer might restrict downloads / connections in their work environment.  Talk to your IT department.

If you cannot install the software on a work computer (or while using your computer in a work environment), it might be because your employer restricts downloads / connections / installations while at work.  Talk to your IT department.
